Training without owning

Under the guidance of our experienced staff at Crossroads Ranch, you’ll learn the skills needed to gentle and train a Mustang, building trust, patience, and confidence along the way. At the end of the program, you’ll play a crucial role in helping find the Mustang a suitable new home. This hands-on experience allows you to make a meaningful impact in a Mustang’s life while growing your own skills and connection with these incredible horses.

Training

We offer a unique opportunity to experience Mustang ownership and training at an affordable rate only available for veterans/active-duty members. For just $100 per month, which covers the cost of hay, you can keep your Mustang on-site while working with it under the guidance of our experienced staff. This allows you to develop your horse’s skills and confidence in a supportive environment, with access to our facilities and expertise. Enjoy the rewarding journey of training and bonding with your Mustang while we provide the space, resources, and community to help you succeed.

What started our mission?

We identified the need for support for veterans moving from military to civilian life, leading us to create a program that alleviates feelings of isolation and builds a community of peer support. Furthermore, we found that Mustangs and horses can help manage emotional difficulties and encourage relaxation. Our mission also includes veteran suicide.
